DGTL Festival
Friday 10th - Sunday 12th April 2020
One of the first major festivals that kicks off the Amsterdam festival season is DGTL. The cool thing about DGTL is that organiser's care about the environment as much as they care about music. The festival has even won awards that recognize its developments to sustainable event organization. The three-day event is hosted during Easter weekend and is returning to the cool industrial NDSM area to bring you the hottest artists, banging beats and chillest vibes. Think of acts and artists like Nina Kraviz, The Black Madonna, Bonobo (DJ), Honey Dijon, KAS:ST (Live), LSD, Oscar Mulero, Octo Octa, Mind Against and Paul Kalkbrenner.
Kingsland Festival

One of the world’s biggest techno festivals returns to Amsterdam for Easter weekend. Awakenings is a four day all-night rave that sells out every year. Located in Amsterdam’s Gashouder venue from 9pm - 9am, this is one of the biggest house events on the music calendar. With Awakenings events taking place on Easter Thursday, Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday and Good Friday this year, each night will play host to some of the most epic DJs on the techno scene. Want to experience an iconic musical experience? Than you have to get tickets to the Music On Festival in Amsterdam. This festival was first made famous in Ibiza and it's now making its fourth debut in the Dutch capital. This epic two-day event is held on the weekend of the 9th May at Havenpark, a venue known for boasting plenty of space and vast green areas with an industrial touch. Thought the location was cool? Wait until you hear the line-up! Some incredible artists, such as Loco Dice, Leon, Jean Pierre, Archie Hamilton, Ben Stirling, Solardo and many more will take one of the many stages. This will be one hell of a weekend that you will never forget!
Diynamic Festival

Diynamic Festival returns to Amsterdam for 2020 bigger and better than ever. This one-day electronic music festival will be taking place on Saturday June 6th at the Amsterdamse Bos, a beautiful forest on the edge of the city. Running from 12pm - 11pm, this techno event makes for an awesome day out filled with good vibes and good music under the sunshine. This festival boasts plenty of chillout areas in the greassy meadows and street food stalls serving up delicious fuel for all that dancing you'll be doing. Three stages will play host to some incredible artists such as Magdalena, Tale of Us, Solomun, Adana Twins, Adriatique, Dennis Sulta, Tunnelvisions and many more.
Mystic Garden Festival

Have you always wanted to party in a fairytale world? Then you have to go to Mystic Garden Festival this year. Held on the 20th of June in Amsterdam's beautiful Sloterpark, this outdoor music festival is super chilled out and perfect for a summer's day out. The music here is very diverse: you can dance to the pumping techno beats but also enjoy some classics from the 80’s. Spread over 6 stages, you’ll be surrounded by chilled vibes, stunning decor, fun games, hippie markets, amazing dancers and great food. This magical festival will leave you enchanted by the end of the night! The best part is, you can cycle to and from the festival in true Dutch style with a designated area to park up your bikes!
Milkshake Festival

One of the best feel-good outdoor events in Amsterdam, Milkshake is not your average techno festival. It’s an event with a clear message: respect, freedom, fun, love and tolerance. The organization encourages people to think outside of the box and for everyone to be themselves completely. Cool concept, right? As well as this, the music is out of this world! At Milkshake there are nine stages where you’ll be hearing electronic, house and techno sounds all while dancing under the sun. Loveland

Loveland is one of the OG festivals in Amsterdam and this year it's celebrating 25 years in the business. Held on the weekend of the 8th August at Sloterpark, this festival is known for inviting some big names to its stages. This year you can expect to hear the sets of amazing artists like Adriatique, Benny Rodrigues, Agents of Time, Ellen Alien, Butch and many more. Besides great music, there’s also delicious food and amazing art available. There's also an epic pool party taking place on Friday 7th to kick off Loveland's 25th birthday celebrations: expect dancing, swimming and awesome beats. Appelsap Fresh Music

What started out as a free summer gathering in 2000, has grown into a successful hip hop, grime, R&B and electronic music festival. Appelsap is famous for introducing “fresh” acts to the Flevopark, every year. It's given the stage to world class artists like Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Migos and many more. Besides, it’s known for giving a platform to smaller, local artists as well. The music is great, but the food? Even better. Appelsap offers a wide range of international cuisines to its audience. Definitely worth checking out! This year the festival is held at Flevopark but the dates and line-up will be announced closer to the time.
Mysteryland Festival
Friday 28th, Saturday 29th, Sunday 30th August
A day at Mysteryland is one that you won’t forget. This unique festival is known for being one of the biggest in the country. Here, anyone can enjoy themselves, especially with the wide variety of music styles that range from dubstep, hip hop and disco to house, techno and electronic. There’s more than 300 artists that will perform on 16 stages at this amazing festival, including artists like DJ Snake, Lade Bee, Mike Williams, Goldfish, Vini Vici and many more. Besides enjoying the great music you can find impressive exhibitions and of course delicious food. Mark the weekend of August 28th in your calendar, because that is the date the kingdom of Mysteryland will return to the Haarlemmermeer.
