Unreal line-up

While festivals are all about the overall vibe, the line-up is surely the most important thing. You’re not gonna buy festival tickets unless you love the line-up, right? Well the one for Loveland 2019 is getting us well and truly buzzing to be in Sloterpark this August. Check out these headliners…

Carl Cox Solomun Chris Leibing Marco Carola Ame, Henrik Schwarz Jamie Jones

Loveland isn’t just about the big names, they’re all for putting the best emerging talent on stage whether they’re Dutch or international musicians. So you know you’re going to discover new artists you’ll love and listen to for years to come, taking you back to Loveland 2019!

Awesome sound system

What’s worse than showing up to a music festival and the sound system sucks? Luckily Loveland is known for its epic sound system. You’ll be able to hear the beats loud and clear, even if you’re chilling at the very back of the crowd. With over 20 years experience, you can expect nothing less than the very best quality production - think over the top staging, incredible street food options, graffiti artists and the element of surprise…

Ideal Location

Just a 20 minute cycle from the city centre, with green, open space and amazing lake views, there’s no doubting that Loveland’s venue in Sloterpark is one to be topped. You can hardly get any closer to the city centre unless you’re partying in the street or on the canals (and this isn’t one of those Amsterdam festivals). Sloterpark is just 20-25 minutes bike ride from either of our Flying Pig hostels, so you can carry on the party back in the city centre once the festival is finished and roll into bed when you’re done.

Be as crazy or chilled as you want

Whether you’re the kind of festival-goer that gets right in there with the crowd or you prefer to sit back and chill to the music in the sun, Loveland is one for everyone. With 6 stages to choose from, there’s always going to be different kinds of music you can go and listen to. Plus, there’s Relax Island and Art Island within the Loveland grounds, where you can chill out and have a little break from the giant crowds and beating music if you feel like it.

It keeps sustainability in mind

The masterminds behind Loveland feel that sustainability is one of their core responsibilities. It’s the 14th year that Sloterpark has been used as the festival venue, so of course it’s important that the organisers take care and respect it. Lovedland works with the Amsterdam City Government, local residents as well as experts in sustainability to ensure they’re doing all the right things. The festival team even do their bit for society by providing work for people within educational institutes as well as refugees with a permit and others in a less fortunate position. Flora, fauna, mobility, waste, energy… It’s all on their minds so you can party knowing Sloterpark and the environment is being looked after properly.
