The Bloemenmarkt in Amsterdam is the worlds only floating flower market, and is located in the city centre. In the old days flowers and plants were shipped in, which is why the flower bulbs, seeds and other merchandise are still displayed on barges. Fresh flowers are brought in daily by vans nowadays, and the market is open all year round.

Location: Singel ( near Rembrandtplein )
Directions: tram 4, 9, 14, 16, 24 & 25, stop: Muntplein
Open: Monday - Saturday from 9.30am - 5pm

Open:	Monday - Saturday 8 am - 5 pm
	( The market can close early due to bad weather, and closes earlier in winter )
