The Royal Palace @ Dam Square
The Royal Palace on Dam Square is a definite must see! Originally built for the mayors of the city in 1697, it came in use as a palace when Lodewijk Napoleon became king in 1808. Nowadays it is used mainly for official state functions. The many beautiful halls give you a great impression of the history of Amsterdam.
