De Uithof is a large multifunctional sports centre and ice arena situated in Den Haag (The Hague), the political capital of The Netherlands. Those of you who are not destined for Olympic speed skating stardom can rest easy in the knowledge that there is a fun-rink in the centre of the speed skating oval! The fun-rink is best suited to beginners, recreational ice skaters, and those taking ice skating lessons. There is no compulsory direction around the fun-rink, so beginners can practice standing up without having to worry too much about their bearings!

And if you are a complete skating novice don't panic; the certified ice skating instructors at De Uithof will be happy to instruct you on the basic ice skating techniques. The De Uithof skating school offers customers a variety of ice skating lessons and courses that will have you skating gracefully around the ice arena in no time at all!

Den Haag (The Hague) is situated 20 miles from The Flying Pig Beach Hostel in Noordwijk. A return bus ticket to Den Haag costs no more than €5.
