How to get there...

From Schiphol Airport straight to the Uptownhostel
Bus 197 runs straight from Schiphol airport to the Uptown. From Schiphol, walk to busstop 'Plaza/NS' in Schiphol. Take Bus 197 destination Amsterdam. Get off at busstop 'Hobbemastraat' in Amsterdam. From there it is a 5 minute walk to the Uptown hostel.This costs around €4 (you can buy a ticket on the bus) and takes 30 minutes. Busses leave every 15 mins and after 1am every hour on the night bus N97. 

From Amsterdam Central Station to the Uptown Pig: take tram 2 or 5 and get off at the Rijks Museum (this stop is called ‘Hobbemastraat’), one stop past the famous Leidseplein bar area. Walk back 150 meters in the direction the tram came from and turn left into the Vossiusstraat, we are at number 46.

From Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Central Station: take a train directly from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. Buy a ticket from a machine or at the desk (more expensive). This train ride will cost around €3,80 (one-way ticket) and takes about 12 minutes. Then take a tram to the Uptown, see above.

From Eindhoven Airport to Amsterdam Central Station: bus 401 leaves in front of the airport every 10 minutes to Eindhoven Central Station. You can buy a ticket on the bus (€2.60) and the bus ride takes 20 minutes. From Eindhoven Central Station a train to Amsterdam Central Station leaves every half hour (:32 and :02 ) from platform 5. A one-way ticket will cost €17.70 and takes about 1,5 hour.

From Rotterdam Airport to Amsterdam Central Station: bus 33 leaves in front of the airport every 15 minutes. You can buy a ticket on the bus (€2.60) and the bus ride takes 20 minutes. From Rotterdam Central Station a train leaves for Amsterdam every 15 minutes. A one-way train ticket from Rotterdam to Amsterdam will cost €13.50 and takes one hour.

From Amsterdam Amstel Train&Bus station to Uptown Pig: take tram 12 (desitnation: Sloterdijk), leaving every 10 minutes. Get off at tram stop “Van Baerlestraat”, this tram ride takes about 17 minutes. Walk straight ahead in the direction the tram is going and take the 3rd street on your right, this is the Vossiusstraat, we are at number 46.
