Our Flying Pig Uptown Hostel can be found right in the middle of Amsterdam - next to the Leidseplein, a square famous for the many clubs and pubs that have everything from Jazz and Hip Hop to House and Rock. Our youth hostel is located in a typical old-Amsterdam mansion, overlooking the Vondelpark. The Flying Pig Uptown Hostel is known for its great mix of a relaxed and funky atmosphere, and the real Amsterdam party vibe!

If you’re up for some cultural exploring the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk Museum and the Rembrandt Museum are all just around the corner from the Flying Pig Uptown Hostel. When you’re based at this hostel you can stroll around the many markets (such as the Albert Cuijp in the Pijp area) and have a beer at the Amsterdam Heineken Museum (before you start partying in the hostel bar)! Being so close to the Vondelpark has its perks too! Simply borrow a pair of free skates from the hostel and share a ‘smoke,’ a drink and a blanket with your new backpacker friends on the green grass of the most famous park in Amsterdam! We also highly recommend laughing your head off at one of the comedy clubs on the Leidseplein or a visit to the famous Red Light District, and the Jordaan, which you can easily reach from our Uptown hostel.

Oh, and please note that we have a lovely cat in the hostel.

Friggen LOVED uptown hostel would definetly be booking ahead next time, although we had to change rooms 4 times in 4 nights we still had a BLAST! Love you guys see you again soon! woohoo! Recommended to Flying Pig Downtown but could get booked in, soooo glad i went to uptown instead met awesome people had an awesome time!!
