This 18th century building and former 3 star hotel has been turned into one of the best party spots of all Amsterdam hostels! This youth hostel is known for its wild nights and relaxed atmosphere mixed with some of the comforts from home!

What to do in and around this Amsterdam youth hostel?

Cultural spots such as Dam square, the Royal Palace and the Anne Frank house are just around the corner of the Flying Pig Downtown Youth Hostel. The main shopping street of Amsterdam is right outside the front door of the hostel, but for great bargain shopping you can go to the outdoor market at Waterlooplein (square).  Or you can stroll around the oldest part of Amsterdam (the Jordaan area) which is well known for its tiny houses, canals and many cozy restaurants. The Rembrandtplein (square) is a great spot to spend your time with a pint in hand! And after a big day of strolling around and exploring the city, come back to have some drinks and a smoke in the hostel bar, to relax or party with your fellow backpackers! Amsterdam hostels might not be the most spacious hostels in the world (since there are so many people living in Amsterdam spread over little space); the bar of Flying Pig Downtown Hostel is as spacious as you can get in Amsterdam (with the cheapest beer)!
