The Flying Pig Beach Hostel is located at one of Europe’s top surfing locations: Noordwijk. 
Noordwijk shores are the breading grounds of international talents such as Ruben Lenten ( # 2 PKRA (Professional Kite Riders Association) with Slingshot ) Kevin Langeree ( # 4 PKRA with Naish ) and many upcoming surf talents.
We’ve got two nice and spacious kitesurfing beaches on which you can launch your own kite, or if you don’t carry your own stuff around you can rent your kitesurfing equipment trough the Beach Hostel at reasonable prices.
Right next to the kitesurf beaches is a windsurf beach. There is no special beach for board surfers, but you are able to do this everywhere. All the special beaches are more like guidelines than strict rules., but they help to improve the safety of all the surfers.
Lessons
The Beach Hostel provides a nice range of kitesurfing lessons, going from the ‘kitesurfing experience’ up to ‘advanced kitesurfing’ lessons, prices are from € 45,00
For information and reservations beachhostel@flyingpig.nl. We have got one surfboard for guests to use. When you want to surf with some locals that’s possible! There are also some old wetsuits to keep you warm. When you want to learn board surfing or you want to go surf with a couple of (backpack) friends who don’ t brought their surfboards, no problem! The local surfshop rents surfboards for a good price.

Wind- & Kite surfing at Noordwijk is possible with a South, Southwest, West, North West and North wind direction and with a +/- 10 kt wind speed. Mostly after and during a couple of days wind there are also pretty good waves. Check out the charts for the wave height.
