On my first night as a bartender at the Flying Pig Uptown, I had a pleasant conversation with a couple of guys who were curious about everything semi-legal Amsterdam has to offer. Hash, weed, shrooms…backpackers going nuts like a kid in a candy store!
Surprised as they were when I told them that I don’t smoke, they found it hard to believe that the majority of ‘Amsterdammers’ doesn’t light up 6 times a day. Although you would think that wearing wooden shoes 24/7, eating only cheese and pancakes, and all living in houseboats, the Dutch people would have the need to be high all the time!
