Spring!

Seasons are great…especially knowing that the next one will be spring! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and the people are full of energy. This is a beautiful time to spend close to the ocean.



There’s so much to do in and around Noordwijk (where the Flying Pig Beach is located) around this time of the year. To remind you of what this beautiful part of the Netherlands has to offer, here some ideas for you.

Of course it is amazing and relaxing to dream away with the spectacular sunsets, strolling along the beach.



Are you more the sportive type of person? No problem, you can cycle for kilometres through our beautiful dunes.

Or take a surf class, to get into the vibe of the locals!
And do you like flowers? Noordwijk is the ideal spot to check out the amazing bulb fields, which are in full glory in March, April and May.

You can spend the day at the famous ‘Keukenhof’ (the ‘Garden of Europe’), opened from 20.03.08 until 18.05.08, or just cycle around the area to see the beautiful colours. At the end of April, the head of the flowers will be chopped off. These flower heads are used for the famous flower parade (26.04.08). People work for weeks to create enormous sculptures. Don’t miss it!



Are you a night bird?
Noordwijk has several clubs where you can dance till the early hours. Or relax and have a beer with your mates in one of the cafés.
